Oral history interview with Roshan Philip, conducted by Philadelphia Fellow Alyssa Siji.

Roshan Philip was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His parents immigrated to the U.S. in the late 1980s to be closer to the rest of their family. Growing up and attending a primarily white school, he struggled deeply with his Indian American identity, not being around others like himself. Through his time at Penn State Abington, he was able to get more involved in cultural associations, and his adulthood was shaped through these college experiences as well as his involvement in the Jesus Youth movement and the Syro Malabar Church. Roshan currently works as a photographer and videographer/editor and hopes to strengthen his business in the coming years.
