Oral History Interview with Rajinder Bhalla

DESCRIPTION
Rajinder Bhalla was originally from Ferozepur, Punjab, India. Bhalla received a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Punjab and served in the Indian Army from 1953 to 1973. After an assignment to the United States and Australia, Bhalla decided to return to the United States in 1961. Bhalla worked at a multinational company for eighteen years and came to Houston when the company relocated, and he continued to work there for another twelve years. Bhalla built a Gurdwara (temple) for Sikhs in Long Island and was its trustee. In Houston, he was the Vice-Chairman and Trustee of the Gurdwara in southwest Houston, as well as the President of the India Culture Center in Houston.
