Dear Mr. Das:

Your kind letter received and I am very glad, indeed, to hear from and to note your prosperity. I read with interest the magazine that you sent me, also the account of your educational plans for India.

I will send the circular to General Dodge as you requested.

I cannot say positively in regard to the history, as to the date of publication. The printers are working very slow but it seems to me as though the book ought to be out in April and then I have got to look around for something else. I wish you would canvass the situation at the University of Washington. You know my of my work and you might be able to help me quite a little. I would appreciate it if you would write to me soon and let me know what you think about a situation there. My wife has quite a desire to go to Minnesota or to Washington, but I do not know what I shall do. My wife wished to be remembered to you.

Yours very truly,
Historian.
