Dear Bhagwan Singh Ji:
Thank you for your circular in regard to your program for lectures on high grade philosophy. I wish you all the good luck and success in your new venture. From the detailed program I see that you have quite a job on your hands. Sometimes I wonder how you could do so much. Of course, that is the strength which one acquires through the study of cosmic philosophy. Ordinary business people like me do not know much about it though once in a while we have desire to delve into it but there is no capacity for it.
Mrs. Watumull and I just returned from our trip around the world. We were away four months, of which we spent two months in India. I went there after 23 years. I found lots of changes. India is making great progress. Of course, it will take time before one sees the result. Two main problems are production of food and control of population. As the things are, owing to scientific improvement in living and the advent of antibiotics, the average life of people is lengthened and there are less deaths and the births keep up. They have to have certain family planning clinics and birth control. Of course, the Government is trying its best.
Some day when we come to Los Angeles we will be happy to call on you. In the meantime, Mrs. Watumull joins me in our warmest regards and Happy and Healthful, Prosperous New Year.
