"Jehan Warliker, Prince Seesodia of India"
DESCRIPTION
Pamphlet advertising lectures by Jehan Warliker from the 1930s. The enclosed biography describes Warliker as a descendant of the Princely Clan of Seesodia, born in India but raised in England from childhood onwards under the care of an English nurse. He was baptized into the Church of England, raised in England, but eventually traveled to India where he studied "the traditions and customs of his people." Eventually, Warliker worked in an Indian industrial corporation until 1928, when he arrived in the U.S. and began to give lectures on India. The lecture titles include "A Panorama of India," "India and Her World Relations," "Indian Life and Thought," "Indian Women Poets," "Fatalism or Freedom," and each is included with a short description of the lecture. Warliker was represented by the Neilson Bureau.
