DESCRIPTION
The August 1923 issue of the United States of India (Vol. 1, No. 2) published from the Gadar headquarters on No. 5 Wood Street, San Francisco featured the following articles: "Mr. C.S. Das and Democracy" responds to the Indian National Congress President's statement that democracy has failed in the United States; "Treaty Between Afghanistan and Turkey" comments on and reprints the agreement signed between the two nations on March 1, 1921. The "Editorial" section contains shorter items: "A Street Song From the Punjabee," "Attention" and "Soviet Russia's Manly Reply to England's Ultimatum."
